Caring for your fur

The Care Guide

Made to Last

Five simple ways to keep your fur beautiful, season after season.

The Classic Long Collar Coat in ivory mink

A fur coat is an investment. Looked after properly, it will keep you warm for years. Here's how.

How to Care for Your Fur

Hang it
Use a wide, padded hanger and give it room in the wardrobe. Never fold it.
Let it breathe
Store it in a breathable cotton garment bag, never plastic.
Shake, don't brush
If it gets damp, shake it out and let it dry naturally, away from heat.
Keep it cool
Store it somewhere cool and dark in the summer months.
No perfume
Spray perfume before you put your coat on, not onto the fur.

Caught in the rain?

Shake it out and let it dry naturally, away from radiators. Never use a hairdryer.

Cleaning

Keep perfume and hairspray off the fur, and have it specialist-cleaned once a season. Never machine wash or tumble dry.

A natural material

As genuine fur is a natural material, slight variations in colour, texture, density and appearance are normal. A small amount of shedding may occur, particularly when your garment is new.

Cashmere, wool & knitwear

Dry clean only.

Buy less, choose well, make it last.
